Re: [HumJanenge] Re: Antony takes on Defence Corruption

It is good that we r talking of defence deal to day, thanks to gen VK.the fact is that corruption in def deal as bad as in any other govt deal in this country may be little more since no one can question it's operation covered under secrecy mod. starting from the smallest spare part to the tank,ac , ship, sub marine n missile,it is all full of corruption in all possible manner starting from the draft to the purchase. when we talk of our white elephant in under def min the heaviest one is our DRDO,HAL etc which are heavy burden on our exchequer but what is the solution, privatisation is no solution our private industrialist r more corrupt than the govt machinery. In fact it is they who first offer the bribe for doing wrong n illegal acts. The only solution is more n more of us become patriots n nationalists,we have to put nation before self. when we go to cremation ground we all see every body go empty handed n swear by god not to do any thing wrong but as soon as we come out get into the same corrupt mod as before. For corruption in def deal it is not only the def min is culprit but def officers r no less, given a chance every body has done it some body less n some body more depend on the time n space. To protect this nation from enemies let us at least spare the def. Let us not believe what def minister say we can't trust any pol they only speak good words n only do bad acts.To day this country is poor only because of them where they all have become rich only through corruption the nation has become poor by every day. All their planning n policies are based on corruption.they allot max budget where there can be max corruption n till date hardly any pol has been punished even after being proved guilty. complete system played into their hand.Even a plain mp become richer by at least 5 crore in one five yrs tenure from where that money comes? If a poor man can live in rs 32 a day than why cann't be a MLA or a MP why they need rs more than a lakh pm.They want o tax every citizen n every goods n services may be even water tomorrow but do they pay any tax, they want every thing free.I fail to understand what r they doing for the nation n why do we elect them.In fact the present political system has failed miserably in this country n may be we have to think of some other better pol system.

Dear Mahesh

I request you to read my post again.

Nobody is saying (and definitely not I) that the Armed Forces should
be weak or underpowered or under equipped. In fact I swing to the
other extreme by saying that IF NECESSARY the Forces should be as OVER-
EQUIPPED (US Armed Forces) or lightly powered (Viet Cong) as it takes
to get the job done.

My grievance is about taking money out of the country on arms deals.
It is my case that white elephants (aka black holes) DRDO, BEML, BHEL,
BEL etc etc should be closed down as fast as possible.

If you go through my old posts on this group, I am openly advocating
compulsory conscription (2 -3 years like Israel Switzerland), guns for
everyone, Complete Biological weapons development program, enchanced
cyber war capability etc  etc etc.

And let me tell you something Sir, Our Army is a "Col. Blimp" Army
completely unequipped with the skills necessary to fight modern day
wars against an enemy like China, Brazil, Russia etc.

They got blasted through an unexpected Tsunami. Other well to do countries quickly modified their plans to handle their own nuclear plants. Suddenly costs lost all concerns and the safety and security of their people became the prime concern.
