Re: [IAC#RG] Heads must roll for Uri

The malaise is much deeper and not being taken seriously at all . In the existing atmosphere of distrust ,divisive politics and intense rivalry every one is down playing the threat and nefarious design of Pakistan. While the intelligence agencies are as usual clueless , even the Army has not acquitted it self upto the mark. Special forces had to be called for neutralising four terrorists is a matter of study by itself.

Follwing questions need to be answered :-

Why twelve or more jawans were made to sleep in one tent.

Why the men were not accomodated ,atleast for the night , in the barracks shown in the visuals. It appears that the tents were those which are used in extremely cold climate regions and made of synthetic materials which are highly inflammable and ignite instantly giving no chance of escape.

It is obvious that detailed lay out and activities of the camp were known / passed on to the attackers. May be they carried out a recce or were guided to the camp. It is apparent that the tent was struck in the very first shot other wise at least few of the soldiers would have wriggled out on hearing gun shots and commotion that would have prevailed at that moment

Very bold statement from the powers that be ,that people concerned with the dastardly attack will not go unpunished . Well those who actually carried out the attack were killed and adequately punished ; that the army has accomplished . What punishment and retaliatory action will be inflicted on the perpetrators and the master mind of the attack , will be eagerly watched by the Nation . Hope it is not the same as happened in the last four attacks this very year including that on the Highly sensitive air base at Pathankot

First Pathankot and now Uri .

  1. Was it a complete failure of intelligence coupled with procedural slipups ?
  2. Or, is Parrikar as incompetent / interfering as Kejriwal & Co ?
  3. And, is it time for serious and sober debate followed by calibrated response(s) ?
  4. Finally, should Doval be sacked and the foolishly jingoistic Doval doctrine scrapped ?
