[rti_india] Re: No obligations can be cast to disclose information----AN Tiwari takiakalam

Dear Manoj

You are puzzled why the search engines like Google are showing (much) less results for CIC decisions.

The reason is as follows:

The CIC decisions have been migrated from cic.gov.in to rti.india.gov.in. Out of the 25,000+ decisions on the old site only about 5,000 have been indexed by google on the new site. There is a technical reason for this - all the old pages were indexed using the "Recent decision" link as and when they were uploaded over time. By mass migrating them to the new website WITHOUT A SEARCH FRIENDLY HIERARCHIAL SITEMAP, Google is never going to index them because Google has a limit of only indexing about 100 links per webpage

I suggest that we demand en-masse that IC Shailesh Gandhi should resign in shame for this level of incompetence.
