Dear Mr VB Singh I am in receipt of your email below. I confirm that I am the Moderator of the impugned yahoo group. 1) As per Yahoo's Terms of Service for Groups, the moderator / owner may either remove the offending message or the offending member(s). This option vests with the group-owner/moderator. Being well aware of the Yahoo ToS the undersigned as Moderator has publicly expelled you from the group about 10 days back and fully answered the questions that followed. By way of example see message http://groups.yahoo.com/group/rti_india/message/6716 2) You were expelled for publishing scandalous allegations about persons who are not members of the group and refusing to substantiate these when called upon to do so by more than 1 member here, including Mr Ashish Kumar.. It is pertinent that the persons against whom your scandalous allegations were made were your co-workers in the Mumbai Customs and Excise department and for which (as Mr Ashish had posted based on your own emails of 2005/2006 published elsewhere) there are allegations and cross allegations levelled by and against you pending before the Vigilance authorities of Customs. As the Moderator here I cannot allow this group's resources / bandwidth to be used to settle personal vendettas and clog the inboxes of other members, of whom we have almost a thousand. 3) As we fully respect Yahoo's ToS and policies, we shall promptly comply with any takedown notice from Yahoo services concerning the impugned message as and when it is received. 4) This message is also being posted to the RTI_India Yahoo group, to properly inform our members about the actual complaint you have made to Yahoo which is at the bottom of this message.
