To, Mr C Muthu Subramanian Your observations are valid in nature. But you will appreciate the fact that Annual Report of a company is prepared in compliance of The companies Act 1956, whereby most of the disclosure are mandatory leaving scope for voluntary disclosures.
I have gone through neither of the reports so can not comment on quality of their disclosure. But I believe IOB report might carrying more voluntary disclosures in comparision to others.
I recommend you to go through the bare Act first (The Companies Act 1956), and another book named "The polyster Prince the rise of Dhirubhai Ambani" by Hamish McDonald" to now as to how to interprete law in democracy. Regards Trivendra PS. My observation are not to offend anyone

| From, C MuthuSubramanian, 2/2A.ST.Thomas Road, Thendral Nagar, Maharajanagar Post, Tirunelveli District. Tamilnadu-627011. Dear Sir / Madam, I am a Share holder of TATA CONSULTANCY SERVICES, INFOSYS, WIPRO,HINDUSTAN UNI LEVER .My Client ID is 1202980000093429.The Board of Directors names are mentioned in their Annual report and also Website where I found that there is no representation of Shareholders / Investors Community in that board of directors list. Also there is no Representation of the following employee levels. i.e.Executive / Middle Management Community. But there is a Representative for Senior Management Community.I couldnt understand the reason behind this issue. For instance In Indian Overseas Bank Board structure - There is one representative elected from workman community of the IOB and one representative elected from officers community of the IOB.Also they have elected one or two members from Shareholders / Investors Community regularly. I have filed an RTI query(see attachment below) with the corporate affairs ministry. Be in Touch . Regards, Muthu. |
