Prime Minister,
GOI, New Delhi
Dear Sir,
Ref media news:
Congress may cut short winter session to duck opposition demand for JPC
19 Nov, 2010 0313hrs IST TNNNEW DELHI: With the standoff in Parliament over the Opposition's demand for a JPC probe into the 2G spectrum scam persisting on Thursday, there is a strong possibility of the two Houses being adjourned sine die.
In this regard, I wish to remind you that we are a democracy, not autocracy and Congress or UPA Coalition cannot be allowed to abuse the force of brute majority to cut short the Parliament session at its whims & fancy.
There has to be a bipartisan approach, that is what Mr P Chidambaram Union Home Minister suggested in one highly exceptional case to BJP in the matter of planned offensive in Naxal infested area, so far as the proceedings in the Parliament and other important businesses to be conducted by the Parliament is concerned.
Opposition in the Parliament and the State Assemblies have a definite role to play, they cannot be ignored being duly elected by the people and they must be taken into confidence for all such crucial decisions.
Dr Manmohan Singh, please stop mobocracy.
Regards,
