The high Court has Imposed a cost of Rs1000/- on BBMP Senior health inspector A Nagabhushanam of Jagjivanramnagar ward. It dismissed his Petition Challenging Imposition of of rs 25000 by karnataka information Commission for Not complying with its order.
Justice S N sathyanarayana upheld the Commissions November 6,2009 ruling.
Nagabhusanam was fined for keeping a file of Gandhinagar ward even after he was shifted to JJ nagar and not for imparting information sought by RTI applicant srinivas P Dondule regarding his application of trade licence

Mycomments : Is this Fine of rs 10000/- Apart and above the fine imposed by KIc . If the High Court has Reduced the Fine is it Empowered to do so Under the Act
Whether the word not Imparting information Correct ? is it not parting with information

If My first query is correct this HC orders is path Breaking Because all PIOs are Approaching HC . Secondly the Information commission also adopt a via media Stance saying if we impose Full Penalty the PIo approach the HC
It would Be interesting to get all the plaint and HC Orders and share it
