At time of Partition over 30% of Indian Army was
muslim. This is now down to 2.4%. As per Cariapa,
only the mediocre muslim officers chose to stay behind.
Enayat Habubullah was one of those SC (sarkari chamcha)
muslims who stayed behind because he was assured that
he would be made a CoAS in due course due to his wife's
political connections with the Nehru family.
